hi adely, i wouldnt know how i feel if some policemen conduct a drug raid, but if i dont have any pills in my pocket, then i should feel a bit relief, but i still have to worry bout my other friends, what if they bring some gear inside their pockets? what if they go behind bars? i've concerned about this thing few months ago, some policemen in sydney did drug raid in few clubs and its soooo uncool you know...!!! just because you carry illegal substance and have a good time once in your life, doesn't make you one of the worst criminal in the country, we do drugs because it is our choice, we still go on with our normal life (school, uni, or work) outside the club, or rave..... we dont go out and shoot ppl on the street, or make a bomb and blow up some ppl...

sebuah festival musik yang digelar di Jakarta, Sabtu (21/12/2002) malam lalu, akhirnya minta maaf kepada pihak-pihak yang telah merasa dirugikan dengan diberhentikannya acara tersebut, menyusul penggerebekan oleh warga setempat. Selain dinilai menciptakan suasana bising yang mengganggu, acara itu dituding sebagai pesta minuman keras dan narkoba.

Maka, selain menyampaikan permohonan maafnya, pihak panitia juga bermaksud memberikan klarifikasi mengenai acara tersebut. “Pada dasarnya acara yang kita gelar itu festival musik elektronik. Di situ ada bazaar, kolaborasi DJ, band elektronik…jadi nggak ada pesta minuman keras maupun penyalahgunaan narkoba,” tutur Novel Hamid mewakili panitia penyelenggara, yang merupakan gabungan sejumlah production di Jakarta.

Novel juga menegaskan, acara tersebut digelar atas izin yang sesuai prosedur. Dari dinas pariwisata, kepolisian hingga warga setempat, dalam hal ini melalui Kalurahan Menteng Atas, yang membawahi lokasi acara tersebut, yakni Club Rasuna, Apartemen Taman Rasuna. Oleh karenanya, Novel mengherankan jika ada sekelompok orang yang mengaku warga dan keberatan atas berlangsungnya acara tersebut.

“Kami ragu, itu warga yang mana, mereka hanya sekelompok anak muda,” ujar Novel. Malam itu, ketika acara tengah bergulir, sekitar pukul 01.20 WIB, Minggu (22/12/2002) dini hari, sekelompok anak muda yang mengatasnamakan warga setempat datang. Mereka mencoba masuk ke lokasi acara dengan mengancam petugas keamanan. Sempat ditahan, tapi kelompok itu terus merangsek, bahkan kemudian ketika berhasil masuk mereka menjarah dan melakukan pengrusakan. Terjadilah perkelahian antara petugas keamanan apartemen dengan kelompok tersebut.

Polisi setempat pun datang. Mengingat situasi semakin tak terkendali, akhirnya diputuskan untuk menghentikan acara yang mestinya berlangsung hingga pukul 02.00 WIB itu. “Ya, kami terpaksa mentaati saran polisi daripada nanti keributan itu makin meluas,” kenang Novel. Maka, acara yang dihadiri sekitar 1000 orang yang membayar “tiket masuk” seharga Rp 65 ribu itu pun akhirnya bubar. Sejumlah pengunjung mengaku kehilangan barang-barangnya.

“Untuk itu, kami atas nama panitia minta maaf,” ulang Novel. Pihak panitia sendiri menyerahkan sepenuhnya kasus tersebut kepada aparat kepolisian. “Kami sebenarnya ingin tahu, siapa sebenarnya sekelompok permuda itu, sebab acara kami sudah lengkap izinnya. Tapi, semuanya kami serahkan kepada polisi untuk menindaklanjutinya, kami tidak hendak secara khusus melaporkan kasus ini dan meminta untuk diusut,” jelas Novel.(smu)

i am not quite understand the term of "RAVE PARTY"
hence, i dont know if i've done it or not... or even if i LIKE it or not..

let say... i DID and DO like to go to some club in Indo(JJ, sydney2000, etc) , and the purpose of my attendance in that club is perfectly almost 90% just for DANCE(not alone, with my friend of course, but nevertheless sometime i did dance by my own without my friend)... mmm and 10% is to enjoy the FUCKING LONG ISLAND made by JJ Cafe(it is damn a good drink)

i do believe that what i've experienced cannot be classified as RAVE PARTY, which make me quite curious about the existance of RAVE PARTY itself in indonesia, how come the person that very much like to dance like me not aware of such party in indonesia?....

but i am still not sure about the term of RAVE PARTY that we are talking about...

and even more...
the term of "RAVER" ... i just getting confused in here..

master magician: aduh bro....rave party itu adalah pesta musik elektronika dimana si dj ngemix or ngespin di depan audiencenya. kalo selama ini gue liat, rave party di indo yg outdoor kayak Gatecrasher taon lalu itu baru bisa dibilang bener2 rave party. kalo yg di club sih....jarang2 bisa gue sebut rave party krn kebanyakan club2 kan ada dress codenya. rave party is all about the vibe, music, and PLUR. artinya: you feel comfortable wearing WHATEVER you want! kalo party dj2 yg di club sih bagi gue namanya clubbing, bukan rave krn ada rule2nya gituuuu...nggak seru aja. tapi skrg udah banyak banget sih ya dj2 underground rave party yg skrg mainstream aka musiknya dikenal org banyak, makanya mereka dibawa ke club2 utk ngespin disana. makanya skrg jarang2 banget rave party yg underground kayak jaman2 dulu. disini, BUZZ bagi gue satu2nya club yg nampilin suasana rave party asli. it's probably the only good rave club in eastcoast.

raver; itu semata-mata cuma org yg demen banget pergi2 ke rave party kayak....gue misalnya :bravo: hehehhe....

Hey, the new cd of Paul van dyk is out already since few days ago, it has a dvd documentary of his career since the past decade.
Dancing is fun, and i reckon it keeps u fit... heheh no need to go to the gym, or do your regular exercise, just go to a party each week and dance... One my friend grows more muscle, just from going to parties regulary.
And melbourne is place where melbourne shuffle was born (indorave, u should know this one... :) ). Every single person in any part of the world will recognize the moves and know that u r from melbourne, when u do the shuffle.

finia, i need your opinion here. How was oakenfold the other day? Was he spinning ok? he'll be in melbourne this april, but dunno if i m going to see him yet. What's yer suggestion?

to tell u honestly topaz, i used to listen to oakey a lot...caz his music was considered "background" back then; few years ago. but then, he started to make music that's (for me) too mainstream. so...i stop listening to him.
when i went to ultra, he made a huge surprise! have u ever heard this track (wayyy bacckkk..) called "Mr. Yogi" or something like dat...he was spinning it along with my favorite of all time; few tracks from Tranceport CD! waaaa...unbelievable! tapi terus like an hour later...dia spin track2 baru dari cd paling barunya (which i didn't even know the name). overall, if i have to give him a prop for what he had done in ultra...i'll throw him an 8 out of 10.
see..oakenfold is pretty much like scott henry; sometimes he spins good music...sometimes it's just plain suck. but really, it's worth to try :) as long as i don't have to spend so much money just to see him spinning :p

btw, melbourne shuffle is a kinda dance style peepz in melbourne (d'ohh) have rite? i heard it's kinda like break-dancing but using more of your feet than body-style break

yeah, it got something to do with the way you shuffle your legs and arms, i m not really good at it tho. But i dont reckon its break-dancing like... to me its quite different.

Rave...?? rave itu sebutan nama aja buat acara2 party yg musiknya jenis2 trance,house,techno dll...plus dengan atribut partynya...yg laen bisa nambahin kali soalnya yg laen pd ratu2nya RAVE semua soalnya...hehehe

hmmm masalah desek desekan sih benernya jarang terjadi, tapi ya mo gimana lagi... tapi selama ini gue gak ada masalah kok ma dancing, se sesak sesaknya dance floor biasanya gue masih ada tempat utk dance (kecuali pas pvd ma two tribes kemaren :D ). hm...jangan pesimis gitu dulu lah, kalo cuman desek desekan doank, itu pun gak selalu penuh sesak, loe masih dapet space kok buat dance. Rugi lho kalo dah disini tapi ngelewatin kesempatan utk liat international acts.

iya nih fitri, gue lagi having a break for a while... gak bakal raving raving in few wks. Gue mana bbrp minggu belakangan makin rajin main LAN ma temen temen gue, ma computer games di rumah (as always... heheheh)
terus terus...bulan depan bonyok gue dateng ke oz... gue harus jadi anak 'baek' :devil: :devil:
